The Global Classroom program in conjunction with school fundraisers is designed to convey the message that a local act, such as a small purchase, can have a global impact.
The program promotes responsible consumption, fair trade, and an informed awareness of human rights, encouraging students to explore the real impact of their purchases and how their buying behavior can empower and strengthen impoverished communities around the world.
The Global Classroom brings women leaders from the Global South to speak to students at GGP partner schools in the US. GGP staff members also visit partner schools and participate in local, national, and international conferences on issues related to international economic development, women's empowerment, and fair trade among other topics.
Online resources on fundraising, event planning, youth activism, and service learning activities related to the work of our overseas partners are available on the GGP website.
