Tagua Key Chain
Origin: Colombia
Lightweight yet substantial, this distinctive key chain eliminates the search for keys buried in a purse, workbag or backpack. Made from tagua, a nut-like seed native to Colombia, and collected by farmers to supplement their meager incomes from working the land, the seed is an organic and versatile resource that is emblematic of Colombia’s contemporary craft movement. With support from GGP, tagua-collecting communities have bought donkeys to transport the seeds to market, allowing them to sell much larger quantities than when they could sell only what they could carry by hand.
