GGP’s Innovative School Fundraising Program

Raise Funds, Foster Change

By participating in the fundraising program, schools generate support not only for their own programs but also for communities in need around the world. For more information, please click here to be contacted by GGP about starting a Global Goods Fundraising Program at your school.

Global Goods Partners (GGP) offers schools an effective, educational, and socially responsible fundraising tool. By raising funds through the sale of artistic, high-quality, and fair trade products made by GGP’s partners in Africa, Asia, and the Americas, schools realize multiple benefits:

More than a typical “fundraiser,” this program provides schools with an innovative and accessible way to incorporate into its usual classes and holiday functions lessons about other cultures, current affairs, social responsibility, and ways in which local acts—such as an ordinary purchase—can have a global impact. Moreover, the program is exceptionally easy-to-use, safe, and rewarding:

GGP offers a wide variety of products to choose from, such as jewelry, handbags, silk scarves, stationary sets, and more. Each high-quality item is produced according to fair trade principles and comes with a description of the organization that crafted it, the challenges facing the organization’s community, and the ways in which it is working to improve the lives of children, women, and families.

As a nonprofit organization, GGP uses all of its proceeds from product sales—as well as additional private donations and foundation support—to provide technical assistance and capacity-building grants to its partners. By focusing on increasing income for community enterprises, raising global awareness of their work, and strengthening their programs, GGP strives to support sustainable advancements in the areas of economic empowerment, education, health, and women’s rights.
