GGP is a Proud Sponsor of World Fair Trade Day on May 10th 2008

On May 10, 2008, people in 70 countries worldwide will hold events to mark World Fair Trade Day (WFTD) and highlight the benefits of Fair Trade. GGP is a sponsor of this celebration organized by the Fair Trade Resource Network and the Fair Trade Towns Initiative. Around the world, people who advocate for fair labor practices and environmental sustainability will host celebrations to demonstrate that there are socially responsible alternatives available to exploitative trade practices.

This year, sponsors of WFTD are organizing the world’s largest Fair Trade Coffee Break. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to organize a local gathering. Students and teachers can download the attached flier with suggestions on how to celebrate WTDF with your school community.
