Application Form

Thank you very much for your interest in working
with Global Goods Partners.

We are eager to build long-term relationships with CBOs and social enterprises that adhere to fair trade standards in developing high-quality handmade crafts. Global Goods Partners promotes the critically important work of our partner organizations on our website and with detailed information that accompanies every item sold. With the proceeds from product sales and directed contributions, Global Goods Partners makes grants to our producer groups. These grants focus on community development programs as well as strengthening the capacity of micro-enterprises. Global Goods Partners also provides technical assistance, such as productive development expertise, quality control and product marketing.

Before we work with a CBO or social enterprise, we want to ensure that the partnership is an appropriate fit for both of us. To do so, we ask potential partners to complete the attached application. Through this survey, we hope to learn more about your organization and make sure your mission is aligned with ours.

Application

Global Goods Partners is dedicated to alleviating poverty and promoting social justice by creating sustainable access to the market for community-based organizations in Africa, Asia, and the Americas. We partner with organizations, cooperatives, and social enterprises that incorporate the selling of handmade products with activities that promote community development, such as healthcare, education, and women’s rights programs. Please read through the following questions and determine whether your organization would be a good fit for Global Goods.

Are your products handcrafted, culturally representative, and of consistently high-quality?

Do you work with or for a marginalized or vulnerable population?

Are your artisans organized through a grassroots community-based agency or social enterprise that employs democratic principles and fosters community participation in the design and management of programs?

Does your organization employ fair wage practices and promote fair trade principles as defined by Global Goods Partners?

In addition to creating handcrafted products, does your organization or social enterprise organize other community development programs or offer technical and business assistance?

Is there an inherent human rights focus to your mission?

Is there a commitment to environmentally sustainable practices?
