The Dambadeniya Development Foundation (DDF) is committed to eradicating poverty through sustainable development activities at the grassroots level. Located in Western Sri Lanka, DDF offers a holistic and participatory approach to community development. Women and young people, in particular, participate in micro credit initiatives, vocational training and skills development, nutrition and health programs, cultural and sports activities, and an English/Tamil language skill development program to improve the livelihoods of people in the rural communities. DDF craftspeople produce an eco line of products made from local materials, including palm tree leaves and reed.
