Minga Peru is a community based organization that works in the province of Loreto, one of the country’s poorest regions in the Amazon’s rainforest. Minga is committed to fostering social justice and human rights through the promotion of better health, increased equity, and the sustainable management of natural resources. In addition to income generating and environmental projects, Minga broadcasts Bienvenida Salud, a radio soap-opera created for rural women that communicates messages about reproductive and preventive health care, gender equity, and other topics.
