Founded in 2004, WE ACT provides HIV care to survivors of genocidal rape and sexual violence. WE ACT focuses on empowering HIV-positive women and girls to take charge of their lives and become leaders in the fight against AIDS. The organization provides direct medical care to HIV-positive women and their children; free anti-retroviral drugs (ARVs); and opportunities for income generation to provide life-sustaining food for themselves and their families.
