Tuesday, May 30, 2006. The founders of Global Goods Partners (GGP), Catherine Shimony and Joan Shifrin, appeared on NBC’s Today Show.
In their interview with Katie Couric, they highlighted the significant economic contribution that women in the developing world are making to improve the well-being of their families and their communities.
GGP is a nonprofit organization that builds and sustains partnerships with community based organization (CBOs) throughout Asia, Africa, and the Americas that produce high-quality, handcrafted items according to fair trade principles. Charting a new course in the US marketplace, Global Goods connects producing CBOs with socially aware and socially responsible customers in the United States.
